Emergency Oxygen Administration – 1 year certification

This course provides a one year certification in the handling and administration of oxygen therapy.  The course graduate becomes proficient in the basics of oxygen administration.

• Recognizing the requirements for emergency oxygen
• Proper administration of emergency oxygen
• Care and maintenance of equipment
• Equipment inspection

Automated External Defibrillation (AED) – 1 year certification

This course provides the trainee with the knowledge and experience to effectively use an Automated External Defibrillator.  When used in conjunction with CPR, defibrillation significantly increases the survival rate in people who have suffered Sudden Cardiac Arrest.

• Follows the Public Access Defibrillation philosophy
• A very easy to learn set of techniques that make a huge difference
• Teaches recognition of the symptoms that indicate a need for a defibrillator
• Shows how to care and maintain equipment

First Responder – 3 year certification -- Online Application___(Online Brochure)

This training takes the emergency care of an injured or ill worker to a higher level.  The course is recommended for industrial environments where there is higher risk of injury.

Builds on First Aid skills by adding:

• Advanced training in analysing vital signs
• Advanced training in patient immobilization
• Advanced training in trauma treatment, medical emergency recognition and medical emergency treatment

Provides optional components:

• Advanced Oxygen Administration
• Defibrillation (AED)

Emergency Crisis Management (ECM) – 1 year certification

This training is divided into two parts.  The first section deals with the policies and procedures which should be in place to handle serious crises as they arise.  The second section provides the hands on training necessary to meet a crisis as it occurs.

Part A – Customer’s Policies and Procedures – covered by Customer’s Health and Safety staff

This section covers your policies and procedures related to crisis management, making sure that participants fully understand what is required.

Part B – Emergency Response Training:

This section trains the team in the techniques and procedures that will help alleviate a crisis situation. Participants must have current certification in Standard First Aid before taking this course,

• The course is designed with scenario training.  The scenarios build in complexity as the course progresses
• Simulations using props and make-up increase realism and provide a "real world experience"
• The course builds on existing First Aid training, taking it to a new level of skill and competency
• Training helps to strengthen or create a response team by using team building techniques throughout
